I was in the hospital holding my day old new baby in 2020 when I got the call that my entire department was being laid off. It was a scary time, but it forced me to re-evaluate my skills. My background in childcare management instilled a strong foundation in accounting, and I saw an opportunity to help small businesses while also being present for my family. That's my why – to create a career that allows me to be a hands-on mom to my three little girls, Isla, Ivy, and Indie.
After my experience in 2020, I also knew that I never wanted to rely on anyone else again, which I have in common with a lot of entrepreneurs!
